The Spookville story so far…
From Chip
A year or two ago, my sister and I sat down at the piano and started writing a spooky song about two siblings who travel to a haunted underground town called Spookville — a place filled with scampering demons, one-eyed gremlins, and cackling ghosts.
We imagined Spookville’s architecture to be an eerie mash-up of creepy Victorian and New Orleans Neon. Misshapen old buildings squashed together and bathed in the glow of green, yellow, and purple lights. Spookville is a place where slimy Muck Yuck creatures sing and dance in the streets, creepy bike-riding clowns honk their noses like car horns, ghosts cackle and raise their glasses in a toast, tiny gremlins grab grub at shops like COFFINS AND COFFEE, ghouls grocery shop for worm-ridden flank steaks, and monstrous lovers snuggle on carnival rides like THE TUNNEL OF SLUDGE.
Recently, I decided to finish the story my sister and I started. So I wrote a screenplay and hired a few concept artists to help me start bringing the characters to life.
On this site, you’ll find various character designs we’ve developed so far. Feel free to leave a comment or get in touch with me on the contact page.
Cheers!
